Give the American Civil Liberties Union its due. In a letter to the editor of the Gainesville Sun, in Jones’ hometown, the organization said, “You can’t pick and choose who is protected by the Constitution.
“It’s an uncomfortable, ugly display but it’s his right to do it. We can defend that right, and then march across the street and protest his hateful speech.”
Sadly, we have Justice Stephen Breyer, who said burning a Koran is akin to yelling fire in a crowded theater.
Like Steyn says they most certainly are not the same fleeing a theatre in a panic is nowhere near the same as deliberately bullying anyone who doesn’t treat the thugs and their moon worship religion with respect.
